WOW!!! If you've never been you need to!! This was such a great experience!
The food was DELICIOUS. The service was AMAZING. They were kind, patient, genuine and actually concerned if you enjoyed your meal. You could tell They really cared about their restaurant, and the food they serve. Our waiter brought us samples of a bunch of different drinks they have. (Horchata, strawberry horchata, coffee-flavored horchata, peanut horchata... YES, REALLY. I've never heard of such creations... at least the last two. And a fermented pineapple Mango one). I ordered the coffee horchata. Yum! They brought out chips and andva selection of salsas. All varieties of heat and flavors. I ordered the chefs special and it was so, flavorful and unique and delicious. (Basically two chicken enchiladas, covered in a creamy poblano sauce, corn, onion and fresh cheese. My husband had a birria torta, and it was tasty as well. We also took a slice of tres leches to go. (Yummy)
The owner came over once we were almost done and asked how we liked our food. He told us the family recipes used for their food have been used for three generations! His grandma, his mom and now his wife. I loved hearing the history, and pride of that comes with using family tried and true recipes. Everything made with love! The restaurant was cozy and full of cute decor and music. I can't wait to go back!! There are so many things I would like to try! read more
