This cemetery is about 150 yards from Highway 290 on Ochoa Street in Elgin TX. The cemetery occupies between seven and 10 acres with a gravel road running through it. As the name of this cemetery implies, its residents are almost entirely Hispanic. The majority of the graves are from the latter part of the 20th century and many are from the last 20 years. The oldest headstones that I could find dated from the 1940s. The good news is that if you're looking for your forever home, there's still room available here. Not only is this still an active cemetery, but it's quite clear that many surviving family members continue take care of the graves of their loved ones.
