Review: Elsie's - Gloucester City, NJ
Elsie's is a charming, ultra‑small spot with true 1950s diner character. The entire place seats only about six people at a counter with stools, creating an intimate, nostalgic feel. Service is very friendly, welcoming, and exactly what you'd hope for in a classic diner-style eatery.
The food hits the mark for comfort classics. The burgers are straight out of a 50s diner playbook--simple, tasty, and made to order. Crinkle‑cut fries pair perfectly with their excellent cheese curds, which are a standout. They also offer made‑to‑order sodas, coffees, shakes, and ice cream, adding to the retro charm.
A small place with a big personality, Elsie's is worth the stop. I'll definitely be back. read more
