I was visiting a veterinarian that this business shares a property line with, and the unleashed pet dog of the owner of EMC Services charged onto the veterinarian's property and attacked my dog and I. My dog was sick and needed treatment; after being seen, I needed to go outside the vet building to get a urine sample from my dog for them to test. While I was collecting my dog's urine sample (on the veterinarian's property), the owner of EMC Services got out of a car on his property with his dog. His dog was not on a leash and immediately charged toward us when he got out of the car. The dog was snarling aggressively and sprinting toward me and my dog, onto the veterinarian's property. Since my dog is a submissive dog, he immediately retreated, terrified, and ran behind me (I'm a 5'4", 105 lb woman btw). The dog was still barreling towards us snarling, baring his teeth, except now, I was directly in his path. Out of fear for my own life now, I let out a blood curdling scream and braced to be attacked by this dog. Just as the dog got inches from us (on the veterinarian's property) the owner called him off and the dog ran back. I was bawling and shaking at this point because I was milliseconds from being viscously attacked by a dog. I began screaming at the man for letting his dog attack us and not having him leashed--the owner brushed it off and told me to stop crying. Luckily, my husband was in the car nearby--when he heard me scream, he was on scene in about 1 second. He confronted the man and asked why the dog wasn't on a leash if he was aggressive enough to leave the owner's property and approach other leashed dogs and humans with the intent to attack and harm them. The EMC owner continued to repeat: "fuck you, this is my property", "fuck you, it's not a big deal", "stop crying", and so on. This didn't sit well with my husband who then stated he was going to call the police on the man. The EMC owner's response was more profanity and insults, while standing on the edge of his property, as if that afforded him some privilege to be a complete asshole and societal deviant. He then took out a tablet and claimed to take pictures of us and our vehicle. He then said "I'll be seeing you soon". We know that some disgruntled old asshole who owns a failing small business has no means to locate someone based on their license plate number, so we weren't worried in any way by this threat, but the fact that he would be evil enough to threaten something like this on someone put us over the edge, so we called the police. They are going to talk to the man today--we are still waiting to hear back. The vet techs that came out to help us also said they would be calling the police to ensure this never happened to one of their patients again. To be clear, the veterinarian employees were amazing and did everything they could in their power to help--they have no control over this man and his dog on his property. The owner of EMC Services is breaking the law by not having a collar or leash on his aggressive dog and allowing it free reign of other private properties. read more
