Who doesn't love stopping off at the radio station to pick up their FREE Chris Brown tickets? Let me break it down for you, the night I won tickets was magical. My daughter and I are headed home, listening to 106.5. They announce that if you want to win Chris Brown tickets, that aren't even on sale yet, be caller 17... and I'm calling. If you've ever participated in trying to be the right caller, you know you've got a call about 20 or 30 times... And most the time, not even make it through! Surprisingly, I make it through within the first few calls. The guy who picked up ask me what my name was, getting a little excited, I told him my name and he said how bad do you want Chris Brown tickets... My daughter and I are sitting there getting excited and part of me was thinking is this a trick? Oh how I know the radio station so well... he responded back with "well, keep calling because you are caller 14. So you have three more chances to win!" I laughed with him and hung up right away just to call back again. I started fumbling with my phone and got a busy signal the first time. So I hang up and I call back again and hear the phone start ringing... Fumbling with my phone and getting nervous, I accidentally hang up, hahaha... I call back one more time and the call starts ringing. By this time I'm thinking they already have the right caller, with me fumbling with my phone, I'm sure I wasted too much time. After 8 or so rings, I look at my daughter and say they probably already have their winner. And he picks up the phone... with a handsome strong voice, he asks "who am I speaking with?" And I jokingly say "do you not know who this is?cc He asks playfully and I respond back in a loud whispering voice "It's Ursula!!!" My daughter & I squeal, and he puts me on hold. He needed to cut & edit the voice recording so he can play it on the radio... After a song he comes back on in his response is, "how the heck did you call back and get through so fast?" He gathered up my information and told me someone would be in touch with me for when my tickets were ready to be picked up. The day I went to the radio station to pick up, the woman behind the counter was so wonderful, so smiley, and so pleasant. When you go to pick up your prize, you have to have a proper ID on you. She did tell me stories where people try to come in with fake IDs... How horrible! She sent my daughter and I off with our winning tickets and 106.5 bumper stickers so we could pass them out to her friends. She made working there look like it was such a blast!! read more
