I would never normally think of going for dinner 'up West' - not that there is anything amiss there - I'm just a North Belfast girl at heart, but I'm so glad I went here for dinner, we had an absolutely wonderful evening! It's a 'bring your own' place, with no airs and graces, but also not bog-standard in any way at all, lovely decor and well laid out - stylish and modern but warm and friendly in its atmosphere. The staff were the NICEST I've experienced in a restaurant in a long time, so friendly and helpful and a genuine sense of humour and interest in making sure we had a good meal. My friend made a very sensible comment when the food arrived - you could tell it was a 'chef' in the kitchen and not a cook. That was very true. The food was excellently presented and tasted amazing. I had the liver pate and my friend had the duck pancakes, and I followed with Thai Green curry and she had chicken salad - all to die for. Really lovely. We had a side of chips and shared the Mint Aero Cheesecake dessert - all of this was £34!!! Will definitely be going back, couldn't have enjoyed it more. read more
