Farag's is my favorite summer spot in Portland. It's a seasonal pop-up behind Guero in Northeast Portland, and it's the perfect place to meet up with friends. It's outdoor seating only, but I noticed they recently added misters, which makes hanging out on warm summer days. There's usually plenty of seating, so no reservation is needed.
The menu is full of creative, Middle Eastern-inspired dishes with so many layers of flavor. Honestly, try everything!!! We've ordered the meats, anchovies, the wagyu burger, and several salads, and every dish has been incredible. I'm especially obsessed with the cantaloupe salad with cheese on top and the fresh bread with their dipping oil blend.
The mezcal cocktails are also surprisingly good. I normally don't even like mezcal, but I'll happily order one here! If you're looking for a unique summer dinner spot with amazing food and a relaxed outdoor atmosphere, Farag's should be on your list! read more
