My last (pre-Pandemic) tasting at Fiddlehead stands out in my memory; it was a decidedly different experience than is usual outside of Lompoc's "Wine Ghetto".
When I say different, I mean that in a very good way; the tasting room is situated inside a small room with just enough space for a small table and several chairs. Despite (or maybe because) of this minimalistic space, the tasting experience is one of the most relaxed and enjoyable I've had in Lompoc.
Our Sommelier unhurriedly guided us through a tasting of half a dozen different Fiddlehead wines. They were all good; my favorite of that day was their Pinot Noir; with honorable mention going to their Sauvignon Blanc.
The "Wine Ghetto" isn't for everyone, but if you find yourself in the neighborhood I very strongly suggest you give Fiddlehead Cellars a try! read more
