It's very hard for me to not recommend firehouse since my grandfather was a fire chief for many years. I always support this business.... EXCEPT this one! The past few orders have been screwed up & we order a lot. I currently have 7K points & I wish I would have just used them so at least this garbage would have been free & I wouldn't have to order again. Seriously, I cannot deal with the rude staff & complete lack of care for orders. This was so nasty! I placed an order for 2 subs tonight. One was a meatball. One was a brisket. The only modification I requested was wheat bread & NO MAYO! Who mixes bbq sauce & mayo anyways!? GROSS! The meatball was just the way it comes... well supposed to be. They put it on wheat but he was ok with it & did not complain. The brisket, my husband opens the box & says there's nothing on this.... I open the bread & it has DOUBLE MAYO! Thick mayo on BOTH sides but very little meat & no cheese... so I called the store. A manager named Westin comes to the phone. He offered to give me a credit. I said it is my dinner so please remake it properly. He again asked me if I want a credit... 2 more times! At that point I said screw it I will just order from another place, please refund me. I felt he wanted to issue a credit rather than have to make it again. Well he was just on the phone with no reply. My husband said he would just go get another sub if they'll remake it properly! I did not want a $10 sub with more mayo than meat! Especially when my order AND the bag both said NO MAYO! Westin said he would remake it properly & make sure it was right. So I agreed to let him remake it. My husband had to make 2 trips back & forth thanks to the sandwich clerk not being able to read. Do I recommend this store!? NOPE!! I honestly have to find another firehouse nearby cause I do love the franchise & what they stand for. Unfortunately the staff at this store do not take the time to properly fill orders & maintain proper customer service. The tables are often left with food on them or the drink station (tea) the bottoms are often full of overflowed tea. It's not the owner, it's the staff... I get it, they have to hire high school kids. Well maybe they need to check their school attendance & grades? Maybe it will at least weed out the kids that truly don't want a job but only want to say they have one to appease parents. Unfortunately it seems they've gotten a bad pool of applicants & they either need an overhaul or to be retrained. I hope something changes soon or I don't see them lasting much longer. I will say that Westin did remake it & it is good. It's not wheat bread like I ordered but I can deal with that. I cannot deal with bbq sauce mixed with mayo. the last pic of the half sandwich on white bread is what Westin remade for me... thank you to Westin.... At least he tried.
