I've been craving five guys since the ice storm a few weeks ago so I decided to get a burger and fries today.
I gave three stars because somehow it still tasted pretty good, but the fries were burnt and now that I think about it the last time I was there, the fries burnt then too. I sat and watched what would've been frozen fries sitting over a steaming hot basket of oil for a very long time which explains why their fries are usually pretty mushy and burnt looking. You have to cook them longer to get any crisp after they sat over hot steam for 15 minutes.
Sadly, the burger tasted burnt as well and the mushrooms also.
Unfortunately, the onions were basically raw.
Not sure how they could justify charging $17 for a small, GRISTLY burger and fries and a small drink .
All over the restaurant there are signs saying how good they are at burgers and fries and dogs. After waiting 35 minutes for the burger and spending that entire time with nothing to do but read those signs I felt like I had to come say if you're gonna put it out there that you're so great you might wanna step it up a notch. I won't be back anytime soon. My prediction is, they'll be out of business within the year. read more
