This small park is also known as Fletcher Triangle, and Fletcher Place. It is named after Calvin Fletcher, who had farmed the area in the 1840s-60s by his sons after his passing.
The park is a very colorful and beautiful park. It caught my eye from the street as I was going by. It has metal circular picnic tables of various colors, benches, a book box, and a colorful triangle shaped prism that is the centerpiece of the park. The park is a neighborhood park and is part of the Pogues Run Trail, which goes right past the park. The neighborhood and surrounding area looks like it is being revitalized and the area is starting to look refreshed.
The park features native Indiana plants and has free street parking available on adjacent streets. The park looks well maintained and seems like a cool place to bring your lunch to and have a picnic. It is not a quiet spot due to its closeness to the road, nor does it have restroom facilities, any shelter, or water supply/electricity, so, BYOW (bring your own water).
This park is not very big, but is well maintained and doubles as an exhibit of art. I enjoyed my time there and sure that you will too. read more
