After spending a day riding the motorcycle over the mountains and across the desert I was hoping for an old school truck stop with a driver's lounge and sit-down restaurant. Sadly they are disappearing. This updated version of a truck stop was still a welcome sight. I tried the pizza and wings from their PJ Fresh food kiosk. The wings were about like you'd expect. Breaded, frozen, heated up, and sitting under a heat lamp. The pizza... meh. There was a Wendy's there too, but I wasn't in the mood that day. After I ate I noticed the display full of fresh sandwiches, salads, and fruits. I guess I had walked right by them, but I wish I had seen them sooner. I would have picked my meal from there for sure. There were plenty of drinks to choose from, a row or two of trucker's necessities, a few rows of snacks and other convenience store items. Restrooms were roomy enough and clean. read more
