Fox Run at Lake Lure is a hidden gem. I traded to this resort through RCI. They had very few pictures and next to nothing written about it. Actually, I was a little apprehensive coming here for that reason. The only reason I came was that I knew it was a beautiful area since we had been here in the 90's. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. This morning I went exploring and it is absolutely beautiful. Let's start with the unit. They are small detached houses with cathedral ceilings. The looks are deceiving since the house is terraced on the mountainside. As you enter the front door there is a staircase that goes down to a whole other level which is the master suite. The main level consists of the second bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. There even is a washer and dryer as well as a juccusi. I am so happy with the accommodations. Now the amnenities...I went exploring this morning and ended up taking an aqua aerobics class at the pool area. The pool also has a lazy river and a kids' play area. On the way to the pool is a beautiful golf course. I may even try golfing during this stay! For kids there is miniture golf. There are ample tennis courts as well as playgrounds. Of course, there are plenty of lake activities. You can rent pontoon boats, kayaks, jet skis and canoes. I am excited for my kids and grandkids to arrive so that we can enjoy all that Fox Run has to offer. read more
