My wife and I picked up a medium ham and pineapple pizza along with some "Frankie's fries" from Frankie's Pizza on our last evening in Hawaii.
The fries were made-to-order and were piping hot when we received them. The outside of each fry had a nice crisp to it and the inside was very fluffy. None of the fries ate oily. We opted to have Italian sausage and red marinara sauce over the fries. The sausage was well-seasoned, and I especially liked the strong fennel flavor. The cold marinara sauce is ladled over the hot fries, resulting in a warmed up sauce that's enjoyable to eat.
For the pizza, I appreciate the use of large pineapple chunks that were neither too sour, nor too sweet. The crust is on the thinner side and has a good chew to it. The pizza is baked a bit on the pale side and could spend a bit more time in the oven, but the taste was there. They definitely use a generous amount of mozzarella cheese on their pizzas here.
Overall, I would take Frankie's Pizza over a pizza from a chain any day. read more
