Just a stones throw from Trim Castle, Franzinis is a family-friendly restaurant that offers some of the largest portions you'd find...it's Trim's version of the Cheesecake Factory! My Trim friends go here every Sunday afternoon with their families and I can see why.
The portions are huge...the Ribs JR starter could have easily been a main. The menu is rather expansive and covers everything from Italian pasta, to French favourites like Duck a l'orange, to American Buffalo wings to Asian-inspired dishes like hoisin chicken. Yet despite this globe trotting offering, the food is actually quite good. Service is friendly and very quick. And did I mention that the portions are ginormous?!? The early bird menu is great value too at under 20 euros for a starter and main.
I've been twice now and definitely would go back next time I'm in Trim. read more
