The stucco/plaster business is tricky. You can use some of the fly by night contractors to work on your house or you can invest in high quality construction. We decided to use Fred Shearer & Sons after a recommendation from L&C maintenance personnel. After speaking with 4 other vendors, Scott Porter, Estimator / Project Manager / Superintendent by far was the expert in the field. The knowledge and experience Scott brings to the table could not be touched by any of the other contractors. Our experience with the other contractors seemed to be just sales people just trying to make a quota. With Fred Shearer & Sons you will not only find experience, you will also find architectural details being adhered to during the process. Chris, the plasterer worked each area of our home to perfection. There is not an area where you can see any signs of patches. With experience comes higher expenses. You will pay for the quality. I don't want to fool you, this is not an easy task and it's not for the faint at heart. Watching your home being torn apart and rebuilt. We had water damage repaired externally and our fireplace finished in Venetian plaster. With any major work during a pandemic, expect minor delays and problems. We did not experience any. Chris showed up every time with masks and safety items. Not only caring for his safety but also respecting ours. Our project was massive, we have three buildings on our property and all three were being repaired to new. Stucco in the PNW is not common or wise. Fred Shearer has one of the best stucco guys in the industry. Although there were not any problems encountered, they were prepared for the worse. Thanks again for the great work! read more
