This place rules. Visited at 2PM on a Sunday and it was a light crowd. Seated immediately, waters brought quickly, and given two menus. One was larger family style dishes and one had the individual sized portions. Ordering was easy, you can use a digital menu or just tell the server what you want. Everyone was very friendly. We got a hot and sour soup and an egg drop soup to start, and both were hot and delicious. For the main meal we got Mongolian Beef, Pork Mapo Tofu, Cold Sichuan Noodles, and Green Onion pancakes. None of this came with rice so we added that on really quick after the food showed up, no problem. The portions were all ENORMOUS, it was WAY too much food for two, but it meant leftovers. Everything tasted great-- we both loved the Mapo tofu, it definitely had a good amount of the numbing peppercorns going on. The beef was very tender and had a good sweet and fragrant flavor, and the onions were cooked perfectly. The pancakes were crispy and the sauce that came with it paired well, it was a vinegar based sauce but more complex than just vinegar. Rice cooked perfectly.
We will absolutely be coming here when we are up in the area, this place is a hit! read more
