Garcia's is an iconic Phoenix restaurant that goes back for decades. The owner Ramon Garcia passed away in 2025, and I believe the entire company is under new ownership. So I wasn't expecting it to be good. But I have to say that after sampling several "cheese crisps" on my most recent Arizona trip, Garcia's makes the best one in Phoenix! The service was really fast and cordial and while the restaurant isn't anything super fancy inside, it's a nice and comfortable Mexican restaurant with a bar. It's a stand alone restaurant adjacent to a mini mall so there's lots of free parking. For some reason, the cheese crisp is just outstanding.
