We were their first lunch customers, arriving at 12:15 to a very friendly welcome - pleasant service with a smile throughout our meal. I ordered Thai Pork Dumplings (from their tapas menu) and the Slow Cooked Beef Brisket Noodle Soup, both of which arrived within 10 minutes. The dumplings were delicious and juicy. There were three of them, each sitting in it's own little cup of dipping sauce (aromatic with plenty of lime). The main dish was topped with a generous amount of beef; nice texture, not too chewy. Floating in the broth was a cinnamon stick and star anises - this reminded me slightly of Christmas (mulled wine?). The broth was much sweeter than I expected, a surprising contrast to the hearty beef flavour. There's a chilli next to it on the menu, but it was barely spicy if at all. The black sesame ice cream balls were the colour of storm clouds; ominous visually, but refreshing and very creamy. I would describe the flavour as the sesame equivalent of pistachio ice cream, if that helps.. :) Good meal overall, and plenty of interesting menu options to encourage repeat visits. read more
