I enjoyed the upscale food in a more casual setting here. The service was really welcoming and prompt.
The duck dish, with its nice crisp layer of skin and a good amount of fat was the star for me. The meat was tender and mushrooms & peppers added the necessary contrast to keep the dish fresh. as well as the Crystal Dior cocktail, which reminded me of a more "adult", refined pina colada.
I personally liked the heirloom tomato salad (good showcase of a good seasonal ingredient) and it paired well with the savoury tonnato dressing (though it was nothing crazy special).
The foie sundae seems like a novelty but is actually pretty good, though quite rich. There's just a hint of that characteristic animal flavour of the foie, and you're left with a more luscious texture in the ice cream. If you do get it, I recommend sharing. read more
