The food was excellent, everything was quality in flavour and presentation. We got for appetizers the Shrimp Tacos and Tuna Tartare, the flavour was excellent in both, the only thing is with the taco it was a little hard to eat as a bite would crumble it haha. For mains we got Beef Bourginon with a side of rice, and two Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare. The beef was so tender and flavourful with no foul odour or tastes, and it still had the integrity of the meat itself. The seafood spaghetti was wonderfully spicy but not too much, it's got our inner chef's trying to figure out the secret to the delicious sauce. It had an abundance of seafood taste permeating the dish as well as the individual seafoods involved.
The ambiance on a friday afternoon/evening was surprisingly quiet. Though I'm aware at prime hot times, it can be very difficult to get a table without a reservation. We were lucky to be able to dine here with no reservation today.
Finally, the service was immaculate. With my parents, they had trouble understanding and deciphering the menu and the two girls available locked the hell in and swapped to cantonese when addressing my parents. One even pulled up an iPad with pictures of dishes to help them out!
It's quite rare for upper-mid scale "fine dining" places to also have decent quality service and we were pleasantly surprised. read more
