I heard about a new HK style cafe that opened up in the New Kennedy Square plaza and wanted to check it out. At first glance, the menu is very similar to Blue Ocean Cafe (also in the same plaza) and I believe one of the staff who used to work there transitioned over to this new restaurant. The place can seat about 40 people in total and when I went on a weeknight, it wasn't too busy.
I ordered the Baked Pork Chop with Rice and Curry Brisket with Rice and I would say that it's almost identical to the food in Blue Ocean Cafe so there must be a connection. Each dish comes with a soup and tea/coffee as well. Unfortunately for my experience, it took longer than normal to get the soup out as they had to cook a new batch. For taste, it was pretty standard for a HK style cafe so no complaints there. As this restaurant is fairly new, I think they need more time to get things in order as it looked like they were short staffed and service was a little slower than expected. Overall, in a location with so many HK style cafes to choose from, I would probably revisit this one in the future when things have settled. read more
