What an experience! Visiting various thrift shops calms me. I love treasure hunting. I live out of town now where there are not many thrift stores. I was asked to house sit in Phx. Store #119 3202 E Greenway Rd Phx Az 85032 was my first stop. First I had to walk around a homeless person in order to get through the doors. Upon entering I asked employee if anyone called for man passed out front. I guess a norm there? There were several items being sold used $3.00 when one can buy at Dollar Tree $1.25?? Lastly, checkout. Line (only 1) was down an isle. I waited nicely. An older Asian woman came out to open register; good call. I switched lines. Employee Lady waited on lady with a few tables. She then waited on a guy who came from who knows where. She then closed her register and then helped woman with tables load to car three customers who were behind me had paid for their items and left. So I go back to original line and the younger Caucasian starts to defend Older Asian woman. I visited several other Goodwill, the pricing was about the same. I was very discouraged. read more
