Just showed up to Grace to drop off 6 shirts to be laundered. I've been a beyond loyal customer for well over 5 years and I drop off my shirts weekly, but today will be my last day ever.
There was a new person at the desk. When I asked for my shirts to be laundered (as they always were), he pointed to one and said that it had to be dry cleaned. He then tells me that it would be Monday before I can get them back. He then hands me a ticket for 3x the price I normally pay while mumbling something about the price being too cheap. Seems like this place is having issues (perhaps financial) and this person was there to overcharge loyal customers to make up for the gap.
To be clear, here are my issues:
1. An attempt was made to overcharge me.
2. I was asked to pay upfront for the over charge, which indicates distrust And potential racism.
3. This individual did not care that I was a regular and that I was able to quote the prices that I normally pay.
We really have to stop letting business come into neighborhoods and taking advantage of residents. I will never be back and caution everyone else to triple check your bill.
Finally, I have attached a pic so that it's who I am referring to. read more
