Gianni's is a rustic and stylish Italian restaurant near the river end of the Portside strip. The waterfront location adds to the stylish interior. Although I cannot comment on the food, the lounge areas are fantastic. They have two separate lounge areas, with sophisticated and comfortable black leather lounges and ample red and gold cushions. The lighting in each room is really unique. Our room had a huge black light with a dozen fingers with lamps on the end. It sort of looks like a spider, but a classy spider. The windows look out to the waterfront, making the space complete.
All in all, it is a lovely intimate space that would be perfect for small groups to enjoy some wine and finger food.
I did get a slight surprise that 1 house wine was $10. I thought it was a bit pricey but maybe that says more about my taste in wine than the pricing of the place. read more
