I just love H-E-B. This one is good. It's one of at least two that I know of in Midland, TX. My daughters laugh still when I tell them H-E-B stands for the founder's son, Howard E. Butt. "Butt," they giggle. Lest you forget, "the initials also playfully represent the store's slogan, 'Here Everything's Better'." Cute, huh? This store was mostly clean and organized. We found some good deals on meats. I mean for the times. And I love the H-E-B line. They omit lots of junk and artificial crap plus they are cheaper than the name brands. This mom is a fan! The seafood guy was funny. The cashier was nice but distracted with her phone. The most maddening scene was the parking lot on January 4, 2026. read more
