I've tried SO many salons in the past, and have run into similar issues when it comes to the overall experience (i.e. consistency, communication, service). But finally, the Hairday Studio salon became the trusted place I go to get a successful haircut, especially with Asian hair. Making an appointment with the stylist, Alisa, was honestly so smooth, as she was incredibly responsive and proactive with finding a time that worked for both of us. I locked in my appointment, and made my way there to Salons by JC (which seemed like a collection of private salon studios). I was surprised to find her suite all the way in the back of the building! Simply put, from the moment I walked in, I was treated with an extremely well-mannered and communicative hairstyling session, where I was asked about specific styles or references I wanted. She was able to very quickly identify trends and styles that would suit my style, but still make it open to my decision. She cut, washed, and styled my hair with attention to the small details, which other stylists in the past have skimped on. What made me feel most at ease was that she was happy to have a conversation during the service, but also focused on getting through the session with an high standard of service (like pausing conversation during the hair wash, and a quick massage). For me, the value that she provides in her skills, as well as this private styling session was beyond my expectations. She is very reasonable with the styling costs, and knows how to create an enjoyable space. If you are ever in the San Ramon area, I'd highly suggest a visit to Alisa for an amazing experience!
