Hands On was hired to load my uhaul. They did a terrible job causing everything to move very shortly into my drive damaging MANY of my items. There were no sharp turns on my drive and it was pouring rain so we were driving much slower than the speed limit so this was not cargo shift due to poor driving.
They loaded mattresses and box springs last in the middle of the truck rather than on a wall like it should be. As I unloaded, I saw a few boxes in the attic of the truck loaded upside down.
The 2 kids that did my load couldn't get off their phones the whole time - every time they walked back into the apt, they were on their phones & when I would walk out to my car, I would see them on the truck on their phones. Very unprofessional.
I sent pictures in email of damage& got no response. I called to discuss the damage & asked for the boss who I was told was a woman named Leah Robinson. The boy that answered the phone tried to fraud me by claiming to be "her." Finally, he admitted to being just the assistant, asked for my reservation information, and said Leah was busy in a meeting and would call back. I said I would provide Leah all of my info when I speak with her. Suddenly, I get a text from the same number claiming to be Leah, asking for the same information the boy had requested. It seemed very sketchy and I said I would let Leah know when she called. "Leah" was all of a sudden conveniently available and called back - I gave her my information and explained the situation. She told me she needed to call the employees who did the work and she would call me back. She never called back. All she did was have the workers text me where blamed my dad for not securing my items when that was the job they were hired for. Zero accountability.
They don't seem to want you to speak to the lady who is allegedly the boss which seems extremely sketchy and as if this is not a true business. It almost seems like she has nothing to do with this business and is just a figure face to make it seem like a legit company.
I'd NEVER recommend them - they are completely clueless about proper loading& have no professionalism or accountability. Pictures of some of the damaged items attached read more
