High Peaks and the de Buys property in Hague on Lake George have been doing business together for almost a decade. We started with a devastating lightning strike that ended with three major trees taken down along with four large pines that were becoming more and more dangerous. High Peaks came highly recommended so we called them for an estimate. They were by far the best and most knowledgeable estimate so we had them do the project. They did a wonderful job and we were pleased to echo their high marks in professionalism, talent, knowledge and timeliness. A few years ago, we had a landmark white oak die. We didn't think twice about calling High Peaks -- no estimates necessary. We knew their abilities and honesty. They came when they promised, did the work, and left the area pristine. To date, our most dramatic tree removal by High Peaks was in September of 2012. In the small area between two 1885 Victorian houses, Chris Porreca and his band of trained professionals, removed three 80 feet plus sentinel pines and two other dead pines -- any of which could have crushed the houses. In a most delicate and precarious situation they had to top the trees and lift each cut portion of the trees over our house with a very large extended crane. It was truly miraculous to watch -- certainly frightening when you consider the potential consequences.
