To be honest, I'm not sure how we found this restaurant. I didn't find it on a restaurant list in Rolla, and my friend found it, but I will say that it was exactly what we all wanted.
We had four people come to this restaurant for the first time on a weekday afternoon. The restaurant has very little seating, so I would treat it primarily as a take out spot, if possible, though there were a few small tables. The format of the restaurant is quick service, in that you place your order on a kiosk in the restaurant and they fill your order.
Even if you eat in the restaurant, the order is delivered in takeout containers in a bag, along with plastic ware and soy sauce and duck sauce packets.
The food was impressively tasty and quick. It happened that we ordered four different things, including poke bowl, two bento boxes, one with chicken and one with shrimp. The last person ordered chicken teriyaki with extra tofu. I was impressed that all four dishes could be made in such a short time, because they were all prepared in front of us. In fact, if you have ever gone to a teppenyaki restaurant where the chefs do the performance over the grill, that's kind of what they're doing there, only it's not for show. The food was hot and tasty. I would definitely recommend the extra tofu, which was a nice, tasty, slightly crispy addition. Also, the teriyaki with rice and extra tofu felt like a three or four poun meaning that there was an immense amo food for one person. The bento boxes also appeared attractive and tasty. Of all the dishes, I would probably recommend slightly against the poke bowl if you are accustomed to ordering from poke restaurants, and the reason is that you don't pick out a dozen toppings like you do at those places. There is a pre-set number of about five toppings in the bowl, so you might feel disappointed if you're accustomed to being entitled to more. However, it was quite delicious as well.
The restaurant also offers bubble tea and red bean tea for about $5 per glass and you can customize the amount of sugar you want.
Next time I totally want to try the sushi burrito, so l plan a trip back already.
Definitely try this spot. It's a great addition to Rolla's restaurant landscape. read more
