This cemetery sits right next to the Immanuel Lutheran Church which is still an active church today. The church itself as well over 100 years old and has a Texas historical plaque affixed to it.
It certainly can be assumed that many of these graves are of former parishioners of this church throughout its history. There are some notable names buried here such as Bohls and Pfluger. As a matter fact there are many Pfluger graves to be found here. There are quite a few graves from the mid to late 1800s as well as many new ones. There are quite literally hundreds of graves here including those of some service members and of those recently departed. There appears to still be plenty of room to welcome new arrivals should you like to inquire. This cemetery is well-maintained and very easily accessed from Immanuel Road. read more
