From Michael's review

If you are searching for a contractor, stay away from these people, there are many, many more qualified contractors out there. Infinity Builders is not qualified to change a light bulb. Do your research. But you should always mistrust the low bid for your job. Read on... Well, it is nice to see that others have taken the time to review Infinity Builders and their work here on Yelp. I am startled to see a 5 star review defending them though. Let's begin, shall we? First, you can all see that I have not created my profile recently in order to give Infinity Builders a poor review. I have been writing reviews on Yelp for quite some time. Second, we did quite a lot of research before settling on a contractor for our job because it was NOT a small job. In fact, we pretty much remodeled the entire house. Third, I have quite a bit of experience in the construction trades and knew going in exactly what it was I was looking for and what I was expecting to receive for the large amount of money I was going to be asked to pay out. Fourth, I was on-site virtually every day documenting the progress or in many cases lack thereof. I took hundreds of photographs of the work in progress so when I said to Yossi or Zac that something was not done correctly, or not at all, I had proof of what I was saying to counter their defense of "Oh that is just the way things are done". Fifth, I am in a possibly unique situation from anyone else that Infinity Builders has ever dealt with in the fact that I actually built this house to begin with. So, when I told them that I knew that something had been done a certain way originally and that was why we were trying to fix it, I was speaking from a position of authority. And finally, and most importantly of all I was the person signing the checks. So If I asked for a cabinet to be 36" high instead of 30" high that is what I was expecting to receive. No arguments, it's custom work, that is what the customer asked for. Their job was to say "yes, sir" and provide it. Instead I received arguments and work that was not done correctly. Those are my bona fides. Now. The project was promised to take 6 weeks to complete, possibly 8 weeks. Actual project time was 18 weeks! There were many times that we were told that the crew would be doing a particular project on a particular day and no one showed for days at a stretch. No progress. We were talked into allowing Infinity Builders to install our cabinets in order to save both time and money. (We had already purchased an installation with the cabinets but it was not going to fit into Yossi's schedule.) We agreed to this, received our refund from the cabinet people and Infinity installed the cabinets. $18k worth of custom cabinets that they had to come back out and reinstall a large chunk of because they would not look at the provided drawings. Yossi's answer; "That is how people prefer them". We were talked into allowing Infinity Builders install all of our new kitchen appliances in order to save both time and money. (We had already purchased an installation with the appliances but it was not going to fit into Yossi's schedule.) We agreed to this, received our refund from the appliance people and Infinity installed the appliances. This was basically a savings of $400 over the appliance place. However after the appliances were installed EVERY SINGLE ONE of them had to be removed and reinstalled by the original professional installer because not one single one of them functioned correctly. This caused me to have paid Infinity for the installation AND the entire original installation fee. Infinity would not admit that they had done anything wrong and would not refund the installation money. The saltio tile that was in the house originally had to be removed and Infinity used a vibrating tool much like a jack hammer only smaller to remove the tile. It was June and it was hot outside so their crew thought it would be nice to work with our doors shut and our A/C running. The thing is, that when you generate this amount of dust a "Professional" crew knows that they have to shut off the A/C and cover all of the vents with plastic to prevent the tile dust from getting inside the system. The next day the A/C stopped working. The A/C technician removed a chunk of ice from the condenser core the exact size of the return 20"x30" that was 6" thick and the exact color of the tile they had just removed. The A/C had to be completely replaced even though the unit was only 2 and half years old. Infinity would only pay for half and that took actual screaming. Every door in the house had to be reinstalled. read more
