Ivanhoe's (Upland, IN) - it's shortcake season at Ivanhoe's!! That time has arrived! Ivanhoe's is now serving one of their most popular and delectable dishes. Beware...the crowds are big and the lines are long. But...it's worth the wait!! At the bottom is a medium sized cube of slightly warm shortcake. It is moist, sweet and slightly firm. The top of the cake has a thin layer of almost crispy granulated sugar - more sweetness! The bowl is piled high with fresh, lush, red strawberries. Some sweet, most firm and a little juicy. A good sized dollop of vanilla soft serve and whipped creme lay on top. The combination is delicious! It easily feeds more than one dessert lover for about $9.50.
