8/22/25 - it doesn't appear that the sales staff are on commission or commission and draw. No one approached us. Why? If they were, they would approach customers and try to "sell" the merchandise and not wander or hide behind the cash register. I don't know if the staff can tell the difference between the subtle signs of craftsmanship, Milanese button holes, no taping on the seams of an unconstructed men's jacket, and a schlock job. There are not too many high-end retailers around anymore. Wallach's and Barneys come to mind. There is a lot of high-end, well tailored merchandise. But I didn't see a tailor on site if alterations are needed. Long long ago, in the neighborhood far, far away. I worked at John Wanamaker's in the men's suit department; on commission and salary.
