3.5 stars, but rounded up because the young lady that took my order was so friendly and helpful.
I stopped by on the way home because I was craving Mexican food, and I had been reading about this place on social media. I actually drove by it at first, because the food truck is set back off of Nebraska Ave, surrounded by a metal fence. Once you pull in the fence, there is a nice amount of parking.
I walked up and placed my order after perusing the menu on the side of the truck. I ordered 2 sopes (one al pastor, one chicken), and 2 tacos (one chicken, one chorizo). Food took about 15 minutes to be prepared, which was actually a little longer than expected, since I was the only client. The person actually said "sorry for the wait" when she handed me my food.
When I got home, I dug in. The sopes were beautifully presented, however, I wish they had more flavor. I also did not love the fried shell they were on - way too thick and hard to cut/break. I did love the one taco I tried, though. Chock full of chicken and surprisingly, pineapple chunks - it was delicious.
Cute place, plenty of parking, and decent food - I will definitely be back to try the other options on their menu. read more
