Just beyond a children's playground in a small park off of Dixie Highway lies the grave of James Ormand II. His epitaph is simple, "An Honest Man", the words his family wanted etched upon his tomb as a testament to his time upon this planet. Ormond Beach, Florida is named for this man's family, for brave people who came to this far away land seeking a better life.
