Although they market themselves as a coffee shop, Java & Mug is best known for their bingsoo desert. If you've never had it, you should do yourself a favor and grab the first bus to Albany Park, because this is some of the best shaved ice I've ever had. It comes in a lot of varieties, it we got the red bean bingsoo and the fruit bingsoo. Both are to die for. That said, the aesthetic is pretty sterile. There's tons of seeting, and they never tell you to leave, so if you just need a place to sit, this is perfect. If you're looking for a cozy environment for a date or just to hang out, I'd recommend grabbing your desert to go read more
