Found out the hot drip here, will have to redo my other reviews for Java House locations discovering the cold brew hot! To get it out of the way: I'm not a fan of their basic cold brew, way too sweet, uncultured fake espresso that's somehow both crazy expensive and lower quality than Starbucks. I don't get it at all, entirely beyond me why one would happily throw seven dollars for a regular sized coffee that's neither a sublime quality single origin roast or a house crafted latte. The Eleventh House, Sacred Grounds, Wanderlust, and Indie Coffee Roasters are the top tier drip trips in the area in that order and have the cred to prove it. Is a shame the coffee is so limited here given the sweet service, amazing vibes from the near dark academia atmosphere, good rewards program, and decent food menu. Maybe my rash words are just me pining for the forever lost Copper Moon Coffee that Java House bought out, I really miss throwing six dollars and getting a massive thirty two ounce iced latte! Yes you read that right. Four shots, coconut milk, and the Supersize cup for six dollars! I don't expect that to ever be repeated in this new price gouging age. But thankfully I found out the cold brew here served hot is the way to go. I did a honey cinnamon with macadamia milk, over seven dollars but considering I spoil the bottom line going along with that premium dairy free option we all win. read more
