The building itself is super cute on the outside and inside it's full of pictures and collectibles. There is very limited seating for the entire restaurant and little room for people to maneuver around while not sitting. We went on a summer Sunday morning around 11 AM and it was very busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. The host and server were so nice. I don't have any complaints there.
While my party of 4 was walking to be seated, what I presumed to be the owners wife made a comment about how she used to have a prize to bribe kids of getting off their phone and talking to their parents but they ran out. While I do look incredibly young for being a full grown 4'7 adult, what was meant to be a personal and fun comment felt inappropriate and I didn't appreciate it as she was stabbing at my appearance as someone who is the face of the business.
The wait to order our drinks and food along with actually receiving them took awhile on a busy day which was OK, but while waiting for our orders I was people watching when I overheard and watched the wife point to her head and say to a server, "sometimes you need to use your brain." Forget the comment she said to me, but as a manager, I would never say something like that to an employee of mine, and especially not in front of a restaurant full of people. As a leader you are to give feedback privately, otherwise it's degrading and it's humiliating.
