On the way to the National Gallery of Ireland we walked past this place and I got a waft of delicious fruity tea. After roaming through the national museums in Dublin, we decided to have a tea break at Java Republic. We came in around 4:40 PM and when we were ordering the cashier told us that they close at 5 PM and recommended I get my tea in a to-go cup. I got the wild berry hot tea and a pecan scone with berry jam and butter on the side (~6 euro total). I didn't ask and I am not sure if that's something they do but I wish they would warm up the scone. Other than that it was yummy and the tea was good as well. Although the place looks tiny, there is extensive inside and outside seating (outside seating at the front and back). They also have free wifi, a fairly pleasant interior/exterior decor, and an extensive variety of different teas. On one of the walls, the history of the location's building was narrated which I found pretty interesting. Overall this place is affordable and looks like a good place to get work done or just take a break - I recommend. read more
