Originally, our plan was to eat at the time out market across the steer. It was way too crowded and a little bit overwhelming. Luckily, we found Java Rooftop and it did not disappoint! Timing was right because we got seated right away and had a lovely meal before the service changed to cocktails only at 4pm. The outdoor space is fairly small so we sat inside. Honestly, this worked out better for our party of 5 and we were not sitting under the hot sun. Cocktails were good but the food is better. Some of the stand out dishes were the octopus and the buttery prawns. The crispy Greek cigars were good - but a different twist than what we are used to. They were topped with oregano and honey. I didn't taste any truffle in the honey truffle dressing. My daughter loved her matcha latte and the avocado platter. The oriental skewers (kofte) were good but I thought they were a little bit salty. We also got the grilled cauliflower.although it had a blackened char on it, it was very tasty.
