On a long road trip from Minnesota to New Jersey, we stopped in Adrian Michigan. We got pizza in MN, in NJ, and now our next type of pizza was delivered: well-done, Detroit-style, black olive, green pepper and mushroom.
Detroit-style means a type of deeper dish pizza but not fully deep dish. There is garlic flavor added to the crust. The sauce itself is only lightly added to the pizza. It is not sweet nor tomato-y. The cheese is gooev, stringy and delicious!
The black olives and the green peppers seemed to be fresh. The mushrooms were canned. read more
