At first we were seated in a full dining room which was a bit too loud for my friends and I so we were able to sit in a much quieter room with a very nice server named Edith. Beginning to end special request, careful timing between courses everything was done perfectly. My next experience at Jonathan's will be better planned...I would like to go to the entertainment after dinner in the future they had a lot of good bookings for this year. My friend started out with a lemon drop martini and she loved it and another friend had a simple screwdriver. (he's a bit old-fashioned lol) On a special menu they had Newfoundland pea soup it was outstanding not too thick or salty and it had nice tender pieces of ham and some other tasty ingredients... best pea soup ever. Next was appetizer of pan seared scallops with the greens that was unbelievably good... every last drop I ate!! I have to tell you about nice slices of little brown bread and the delicious flavored butter...wow...the bread was an experience that brought fond memories of my family's good times. Being raised in New England and having fun together with great food and good people. One friend had salmon and the other baked scallops everybody was happy beginning to end...definitely will be returning. read more
