Juana's is Venezuelan cuisine made locally in State College, PA. The Owner's promote the food as being made with locally sourced and fresh ingredients. I don't have any experience with Venezuelan cuisine but I do love good food. The place is in a small room near the MLK Plaza and Fraser Street. There's several tables inside that seat anywhere from 2 to 6 people. There's a parking garage nearby or it's within walking distance of the PSU campus.
I ordered a papellon with pork stew. It came wrapped in aluminum and had a corn based shell (arepa). The stew had pork, beans, veggies, potato, etc. I was given a side of white sauce in a cup. I added it all together and mixed it up. Everything was fresh and delicious. Pricing is around $12-$15 per dish which is in-line with most similar places in the area. Overall - it was a great visit and I hope to visit again in the future! read more
