I love buying souvenirs. It's my must-do when I'm traveling. Period. But I certainly don't like the dreadful shot glasses, key chains, mugs, etc. So I'm always on the look out for a bit more interesting shops that sell items that are actually great to give away- like functional souvenirs that I know folks will use: a cloth kitchen towel tagged with that area's location, a locally-made candle, a jewelry dish, etc.
