This tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant knows how to put out the food! My friend, who lives within walking distance of Kaokao Grill, suggested we have a light meal here and I'm glad she suggested it! We shared two dishes, the cold cucumber salad ($8.25) and the char siu bowl ($21.32) and it was plenty of food for us with even a bit left over. Both dishes were delicious. The cucumber salad was refreshing and nicely seasoned and the char siu in the bowl was great, especially the slightly charred areas that were a bit crunchy. The bowl came with rice and pickled cucumbers, but the cucumbers were not like the cucumber salad, so you won't go wrong ordering the salad *and* getting cucumbers with your dish.
