This park used to be called South Nepean park, but was renamed Ken Ross Park to honour a local grocer who contributed a great deal to the Barrhaven community (he was involved with the local Autism Centre, food bank, Legion, and many other organizations) who died of lymphoma in 2015.
The park has a fairly large splash pad, play structures, and several sports fields (baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and a race track). It also has 2 parking lots.
It is right next to 2 high schools and an elementary school.
It's a nice community park and I think the renaming of the park is a nice tribute to Ken Ross. read more
