A candy store that combines the indulgence of chocolate with the laid-back, coastal vibe of Key West. The Key West Sweets name suggests a flow of flavors, like waves rolling in, and it's catchy enough to evoke both sweetness and the beachy atmosphere. The recent name has changed from "Confections" to "Sweets" in addition to a fresh new plaza location which has proved to be an interesting marketing strategy. The owner, Sherri, appeared super enthused about her chocolate empire which includes a full service confection kitchen. Key West Sweets currently open to the public and wholesales to Laspadas Hoagies and Cherry Crush in addition to a few new endeavors coming soon. Browsed the chocolate store and decided on the two tubes of Non Pareils custom chocolates from the 50 unique flavors - Key Lime and Cappuccino Salted Caramel which were heavenly. One of the specialty items I highly recommend is the Pine Apple Chocolate with shreaded toasted coconut and sweet pineapple flakes. The combination was absolutely delicious - the smooth rich chocolate paired with the flavor and texture of rugged coconut.
