This branch of KFC has undergone several facelifts over the years. The latest gives the place a warm ambience with relaxed lighting. I used the recently added automated ordering screen to make my food selection. I found the system bizarre at best. There is a tab called Meals For One! This showed a very limited range and I had to press the Burger tab for more choices. The hot drinks were woefully inadequate giving a choice between hot chocolate, an espresso coffee or a mocha (which carried a 70p premium charge). On the plus side, I'm glad that KFC has reverted to serving chips rather than fries. The music was too loud and intrusive to be enjoyable. A mural boasts that KFC has been in Wimbledon for 50 years but I only plan to visit once in a blue moon from now on. read more
