I stopped in King Eider's for lunch after a morning of touring the Pemaquid area; it has a nice patio out front with a view of the street so perfect for a nice day (and it's dog-friendly). I did see the inside and it has a great cozy pub vibe if the weather outside isn't great. Service was good as we were waited on quickly and the server was very friendly and helpful. For a starter we had the preztel (which was really fresh) with accompanying brie & bleu cheese dip and it was so good. For the main course I tried the steak pie and it and it was quite good with generous amounts of steak; the pastry was only on top so a bit less than a traditional pot pie. As a proper pub they have a nice selection of beers; I opted for a Smithwick's but they do have local beers on offer. I definitely recommend King Eider's if you're looking for a drink or pub fare in the area. read more
